About

The Ravensthorpe Hopetoun Future Fund (RHFF) was established in 2010 following the closure of the BHP Nickel Mine, when the company gifted $5 million to the community to support future development. Today, RHFF remains a proudly independent, place-based charity that invests in the people and ideas shaping a stronger, more resilient district.

We exist to support and cultivate a more fulfilling and sustainable future for our community. At our core, we believe that the knowledge, ideas and potential to solve local challenges already exist within our community, we simply need to invest in them intentionally.

What We Support

Our annual grant programs are designed to fund projects that align with one or both of the Fund’s core objectives:

Facilities or services that improve the welfare, culture or amenity of all or a substantial proportion of people who reside in the Shire of Ravensthorpe.

Charitable initiatives that provide a community or welfare benefit to all, or a substantial proportion of, residents in the Shire of Ravensthorpe.

We want to see our community continue to build on the behaviours and strengths that have brought us this far - proactive thinking, self-determination and a shared commitment to the future.

Our Vision

A community built by enduring self-determination.

Our Role

To invest in proactive people and ideas.
